We’ve previously had an update about grooming your brows with tweezing and trimming. But what if that’s not enough? Here are some products that will help give the appearance of fuller, more perfect brows:
Paul & Joe Eyebrow Liner pencils, $20. These brow pencils are AMAZING. We call them “skinny brow” pencils. They are available in 3 shades (including 03, a fabulous shade for redheads). We love that it’s similar to a mechanical pencil–with a small “lead” that makes it easy to almost draw individual hairs– keeping your brows looking realistic.
it Cosmetics Brow Power pencil, $25. This brow pencil is a “universal” color that adapts to your own brow color. Keep in mind that as with most cosmetics, using a delicate hand will get you softer color, and pressing harder will deliver the most intense pigment. The formula also has nutrients purported to help stimulate growth of new brow hairs.
Raschell’s Masc-A-Gray, $10. This is a hair mascara that was actually developed to hide new (gray) growth for the hair on your head. But we’ve used it as a brow gel–to gently hold hairs into place, add a little kiss of color, and cover gray hairs in the brow. DON’T tweeze gray hairs–even if it’s just one now—before you know it, they’ll all be gray–and if you’ve always tweezed them—they’ll all also be GONE! Cover it instead with this, or have them tinted.
If you feel like you need help getting your brow hairs to stay in place, either use a little hair spray on a spoolie to brush them into place, OR scrape a spoolie across the top of a chapstick, and once again brush them into place. It’s a similar texture to that of mustache wax, and can easily hold these hairs where they need to be for the rest of the day.
If your eyes are the window to your soul:your eyebrows are the window frames. Filling in your brows slightly (when done correctly) will not draw unwanted attention to them; It WILL draw more attention to your eyes: which is where you want him looking, anyway!
