These products are absolute MUST-HAVES as far as we’re concerned! The entire concept behind IT Cosmetics are products that look realistic even on High Definition television. Beauty For Real Cream Blushes, $30. We sell the “Beauty For Real” collection too! Each of these creamy blush compacts have two colors in them. In a beautiful dusty rose tone with a soft highlight color called “Get Lit/ In the Pink” and a gorgeous bronze color with a gold highlight called “Goldrush/After glow”. We recommend Using the pink and/or bronze on the apple of your cheek, and either of the highlight colors on the tops of cheekbones for a beautiful, dewy glow. The bronze/gold colors will be beautiful in the upcoming spring/summer months!

ERA spray foundation, $55, by Classified Cosmetics comes in a variety of colors, provides great coverage that looks like real skin, and contains skin-loving ingredients to soothe and heal sensitive or blemish-prone skin. Plus it’s WATERPROOF so you can dance all night long even in Houston’s high humidity and know that your look will last!

LIPSMART, $30, is a beautiful hydrating lip plumper. Old plumpers basically used ingredients they KNOW will irritate your lips to the point they swell–which accounts for the extra volume they provide. It’s usually not harmful–most companies use products like peppermint extract, but it IS irritating. Lipsmart, on the other hand uses ingredients that encourage water retention on a cellular level. Over time, the skin cell swells to accommodate the extra water molecules giving you plump, luscious lips without the sting!

Paul & Joe Beaute 001B Bronzer, $40, is beautiful for paler complexions. It doesn’t have any sparkle in it, and lends a soft beautiful warmth that never looks heavy or dirty.

Facade Natural Touch Foundation, $50, is Corinne’s liquid version of the ERA spray foundation. Great for girls intimidated by the spray application. This formula also feels a little lighter once on and therefor feels better on less oily skins than the spray foundation. It too, is a waterproof formula.

 

 

 

Facade Waterproof Eyeliners, $22. These are THE best eyeliner pencils for lining the inside membrane of the eye HANDS-DOWN. Available in 10 stunning shades that really last! When the nights over and you’re ready to remove, just use a waterproof eye makeup remover like “In An Instant” from Ilona or vaseline works very nicely too!

We were thrilled when we heard Paul & Joe was going to release their newest Spring Collection in homage to the cat! Not only is the packaging beautiful, but many of the products have patterns pressed in the product itself like paw prints across the lipsticks, and blusher sticks shaped like adorable kitties with top hats and bow-ties!

Many stores are already sold out of some (or all) of these products and because they are limited edition, they cannot be re-ordered.

This collection has gotten rave reviews (and helpful tutorials) all over the web!

We, however, have quite a bit still in stock! In addition to the cute kitschy products, there’s also a brand new star in the collection that we hope will become a permanent member of the Paul & Joe Beaute family– the waterproof Gel liner! We are LOVING this stuff! It comes with it’s own brush and glides on easily. Plus, it truly lasts! We love this for creating a thin line on the upper lashbed and blurring a little with our own LORELEI waterproof pencil. Use a swipe more on the outer corners of the eye as a “dovetail” that will last all night!

POP your cheeks

A little bit of healthy color on your cheeks makes your face come alive. Studies have shown that the animal nature of humans–and men– makes them more attracted to women with some color in their cheeks.

Selecting a good color is part of the trick (stop by–we’ll be happy to help!). The color should look like you’ve just had a bit of exercise, or you’re a little embarrassed or frisky [hence, NARS best-selling blush color notoriously named “orgasm”(we have one that is almost exactly the same called “dizzy” by the way…].

The other trick is using the right tool. We don’t recommend using those tiny little brushes that come in drug store compacts. They’re far too small to create a natural diffusion of color. A few quick swipes with one of these can leave you with stripes (think Lindsay Lohan’s awful blush during court last year!)

Our Angle Blush brush or Pom Pom Blush brush will give a “bigger blush” that looks much more natural and requires less blending. Swish the brush in your blush and tap the brush once–this not only removes excess color from the brush head, but also more evenly distributes the color on the bristles. Then, keeping your hand toward the end of the handle, use several featherlight strokes beginning at the apple of your cheek and gently fading back and up toward your temples and hairline. Repeat on the other side.

You’ve probably heard it before, but if you have trouble figuring out where the apples of your cheeks are–smile! The part that pops out is the apple! WHY do we want to put the color there, though, you ask? Because plumpness is associated with youth. By accentuating the plumpest part of your cheek, it keeps you looking youthful. The old-fashioned way of applying the blush to the hollow of your cheek under your cheekbones can make you look gaunt-plus this isn’t where you would naturally blush anyway, so it also tends to look fake.
