It’s incredibly important to capture the way you look for your wedding. Often, brides will choose to have a bridal portrait session a few weeks prior to the wedding. This allows not only for her to see how everything (dress, hair, & makeup) comes together in advance, but also gives her more time to work with the photographer to get the desired image under far less emotional pressure.

Many brides will use this opportunity to have their “bridal run-thru” with hair and makeup professionals to establish the kind of look they want for the big day. Some, however, prefer to have a seperate run-thru in advance so they can iron out details of their look BEFORE the bridal portrait session.

Stacy, (pictured above) had a run-thru with Facade owner, Corinne Williams, prior to having her portraits taken. Brides that choose to do a run-thru in advance may choose to have it done on the day of their engagement party or other special occasion so she can truly enjoy having her makeup done for a special evening out.

Bridal run-thrus/portraits are the same price as the bride’s makeup on the day of the wedding. Because of the amount of time and precision put into the look, bridal looks are $150 with Facade owner, Corinne Williams, or $125 with senior staff artists Kate or Dayna. False lashes are $25 extra.

Although far less common, some MOB’s also like to have a run-thru so she can feel confident in her look before the special day! MOB run-thrus are $75 with Corinne or $65 with a staff artist.

There is so much to plan for an upcoming wedding, and the bottom line is you want to feel confident that you’ll look great on the big day.

Many brides will come in for a run-thru to meet the artist that will be doing her makeup and have a “practice” session to make sure she can communicate the type of look she wants. EVERY SINGLE product that is put on your face is noted with thorough instructions from the artist, so she is sure to be able to re-create the look you conceptualize EXACTLY on your wedding day. Keep in mind that NOTHING is set in stone until the big day–so if you want to change anything about your look, just let us know. It’s important for you to be brutally honest about what you do and don’t like- we want to make sure you LOVE your look–but also remember that this is the PERFECT time to experiment. If you don’t like anything–we don’t have to do it on your wedding day!

We also offer brow shaping with either tweezing or threading, to make sure every part of your gorgeous face is PERFECT for photos AND the aisle.

In addition, many brides also will have bridal portraits taken before the wedding– your makeup will be done again following the directions recorded from the run-thru. Sometimes brides will schedule the run-thru to coincide with the day her portraits are taken to kill two birds with one stone and save a little money.

A bride’s social calendar can be quite full, so you may also consider having a party face done for your engagement party, bridal shower, bachelorette party, and/or rehearsal dinner. Some also schedule a photo face for their engagement photos as well.Last, but not least, on your big day you have two options:

1. Come to our beautiful store located in Uptown Park–come just yourself or bring your mother, sisters, bridesmaids, flower girls, etc. Feel free to bring snacks and/or drinks and leave the rest to us. Our makeup room is designed to feel like your fashionable best friend’s boudoir– cozy but elegant at the same time.
2. Have us BRING everything to you. We will go on location to your venue of choice to do your bridal party. We have kits ready to go, and make sure that everything we used in your run-thru comes with us.
