Studies show that residents of a fishing town in Okinawa, Japan has the most centurions (people over 100 years old). Resveratrol is an antioxidant found in red wine, and can mimic the positive affects of a low-calorie diet–providing increased metabolism, lower risk for heart disease, and regulated sirtuin levels. Drinking 1-2 glasses of red wine a day can help, but taking resveratrol supplements can give you a calculated dose without the side-effects of alcohol.
